Looked comfortable although they didn't really attack. Not a telepathic relationship with Patterson down the right but I guess both rusty. Hope he gets more minutes.

I am truly shocked that he hasn't seen more minutes on the pitch because every time I've seen him he looks very decent. I do think Dyche has been too much of a coward to try the back 3 with Branners and Briers and it had less to do with how league ready he is. He looks good.

Looked good. Passed well. We cycled the ball through him a lot and he looked comfortable on it. (Made the most passes in the game by about 20).

There were some very big clubs interested in this lad loan wise this window in Germany and Italy. Good to see him on the pitch. Has everything to make a top defender but really needs minutes.

Thought O'Brien was the only one who looked like he can step up to the first team. His distribution, which I thought has been a bit ropey so far, was spot on all night - admittedly against a team from two divisions below us.

Very aggressive player too.

A lot had to do with Dyche’s overwhelming loyalty and preference to play certain players, especially from Burnley, coupled with deep-seated rules he has for players and how long they have to prove out in training or who knows what else. The policy should always be to assemble the best team for every match and be willing to change it up. Predictability and being static in formations and tactics is deadly in sports.

Couldn't complain...steady and looks useful. I know it was against lesser opposition and can't be an accurate measure but he didn't do anything wrong and looked composed. That is all we can ask of him. Maybe he will see more minutes now that Dyche has gone

Apart.from really poor communication with Patterson a couple of times, looked absolutely fine and will have done him the world of good to get some minutes under his belt.
