I wouldn't blame this on Thelwell. We have a manager who has been starting a CB we have been actively trying to get rid of (on a club level) for multiple years instead.

Have they done a Krouldrup and signed a bloke with an absolutely glaring deficiency that literally cannot be fixed and means he will never work in the PL? Hard to believe seeing as he came through Palace so it’s almost certainly pure incompetence.

Yeah that thought has crossed my mind a few times, something is not right.

Hope this guy comes good as he has all the physical attributes to be a monster C/H.

I originally assumed he was cover for JB getting sold, but the more it goes on and seeing Sexy Texy spouting off about his attempt to buy us again and how close he was (clearly wasn’t), I do wonder whether £17m for Jake was a bit of quid pro quo to go public and flush TFG out and into bidding.
