2024/25 Jake O'Brien

I'm not too worried about a mistake, it will happen to all young players. Itll need to happen a couple more times before we start getting concerned

Oh mate there's plenty to blame , their players is 3 yds out .
Pickford stood on his line when most keepers claim that as its loopng in the air for a good while before the lad can head it.

Very poor decision making from Pickford , and not for the first time.
I mean look at O’Brien there, look where he ends up facing. It’s properly terrible defending.

He’ll improve playing back at CB, this is the right time to get him bedded in there. He’s looked shaky IMO in the middle.

And the fact that we lost the ball on the right side of their box with 1 player out of position. They played along the floor across the middle of the park to the left side of our box where they crossed from.

Patterson is partly at fault but so are the midfield who got bypassed, the left back who dived in recklessly, the tallest player on the pitch who got out jumped by someone half his size, and then the keeper who was flailing.

This all day, multiple issues with both goals conceded, can’t blame our single out one player imo.

Thankfully we’re out of any danger and the players are in flip flops, so these games are the ones to make the mistakes and hopefully learn from them.

No issues with Jake at all, if the previous manager had used him sooner he may still have the job, we’d have been well away from danger.

Of course he was 😂

50 games played and he had one good game in a derby. That's it.

He's an utter shambles of a player. In fact, I dont think of him as a player. He's like one of those members of the public who win a competition to play with a professional football team...run round the pitch, everyone has a laugh and he gets a certificate and a few selfies at the end of the game.

Apart from the goals we conceded he was good? His job is to stop the opposition from scoring goals.
not sure I'd put much on him for the first and there were a few sloppy players for the second.
So yeah. He had a good game but could have done better for their equalizer.
I noticed him covering Patterson a bit and filling space at right back.
I'm wondering if he'll make a better full back than center back.

Hello there Mr or Mrs Patterson, nice to see you on Grandoldteam, sorry for the amount of stick your lad gets.
