Can anyone tell me why we've been overrun by melts recently.

A message to all melts (you know who you are)

do one

You know...

...it's threads like these that really don't contribute much.

I mean seriously.

Do any of us really think it's gonna come to that point where it's either Jags or Yobo?

I mean if that were really the case, Baines would be playing because Lescott would have been moved back into the center.

Obviously Moyes rates both very highly because one Leighton Baines can't get a sniff.

Looked like Jags could've prevented the goal today, he missed his header (I only saw one replay so I could be wrong). Yobo does lose concentration a lot and his clearances have also be questionable lately. They both play [Poor language removed] long balls, at least if you play long, play a good long one

Yobo gets a touch on it which diverts it away from Jagielka if he had left it the touch that Yobo got onto it wouldn't have sent it away from Jags and he would've cleared it away.

Like I said I'm done discussing how crap Yobo was last night it seems to be pissing some of the regulars off....

Zero, Yobo was crap last night as were the rest. The goal was nothing to do with Jags in fact it could be argued that Lescott should have picked McBride up and didn't. What I don't understand is the team of which we were all so proud of the other night is suddenly condemn out of hand for being GASH, it isn't. Just look at the predictions for all the weekends matches, surprises across the board.

Everyone knows that our squad is light on quality compared to so many teams, we have the numbers but the VDM's of this world are the ones to which any fingers should be pointed. That set of lads were as flat as a pancake, see Esk's comments when they arrived at the ground.

How many times have other teams faltered after European matches, it is a known syndrome and for once we got it by the bucket load. With the exception of the Yak, who spent more time gathering the ball than being fed it, it was a bad day at the office.(n)(n)

What ever you do don't turn heroes into zero's in the hope you might get a game:P:P:lol:

I'm still waiting for a rational explanation as to why Yobo would even consider letting that ball get past him so "Jags could head it away."

No defender worth his salt would let that ball get into the box if he could help it and Yobo is no exception.

Even if he takes quick look back before the ball is played and sees Jags there, by the time the ball is played in, there's no guarantee that Jags is in position or another Fulham player hasn't gotten into that space ahead of Jags.

No, Yobo had no option other than to try and clear it.

He didn't and they scored. Happens all the time from Premiership matches down to your lowest level amateur leagues.

(EDIT: Upon further thought, I could have seen it unfold where he lets it go and Jags whiffs on it or McBride steals in front of Jags to score and then Yobo gets crucified for NOT getting his head on the ball and letting it go.)

depends on the shout doesnt it, if jags called then yobo has to leave it, if jags didnt yobo is obliged to challenge for it.

communication and mental alertness being the order of the day.

7 pages and 2 votes before me

Yobo hands down, he can defend but can also do alot more with the ball then Jagielka, Jagielka annoys the hell out of me just constantly smacking it upfield when it isnt needed.
