To my mind , its the ( second) worst of all possble worlds . Only Timmy would be a bigger miss . Sorry , but the Cup went with him on that stretcher . One word . Droghba . Devoed , as the kids say .

Bit over the top that mate. Keep the faith ay!

Lescott and Yobo kept a clean sheet at stamford bridge the other day....

But Chelsea were awful...

We should have an open poll on here to reveal how many giver uppers we have on this forum. So Chelsea were awful hey? Full strength Chelsea against a weakened Everton side, no mention about how we made them look awful. Similarly, all i have heard since we beat United was "But they had a weakened side out". One minute we beat a side in the FA Cup Semi-Final but then the strength of our opposition are questioned, then we deserved victory at Chelsea against a full strength squad by playing a weaker team ourselves. You just cant win with some people.

Interesting idea mate.(y) Oh and spot on with your post(s).

the news is terrible as jagielka was my player of the year by a mile, but its not too bad.

all this means is the fa cup final will be a close game instead of us really trouncing them ;)

seriously though i think the real onus falls on our youngsters to step up. from what i've seen, rodwell and gosling have been two of our most consistent players, and i'm surprised they've been limited to such a small amount of appearances. i think they've proved they're ready for first team football. its up to the puppies of war to carry us through this tough time

I have to admit that my first reaction was 'we're stuffed' but I said that when we lost the Yak and Mikel and here we are still going strong, well, still going anyway!

Jags has been outstanding and player of the century for me but we will just have to manage without him. Yobo can fill that position, perhaps not as well but he WILL get on with it. Saturday, him and Jags were unsure of eachothers' positions but Yobo works better with Lescott anyway so fingers crossed it'll sort itself out.

We've got this far without our striker (or any real striker), without our magician and we'll just have to do it now without our rock in defense.
Isn't doing it the hard way, the Everton way??

No one can say we've had an easy route to the Final and our season has been hampered not just by injuries to our star players but to other players like Victor and Saha.

If there was such a prize as Team Spirit of the Season - Everton FC would certainly win that one.

COYB!(y)

Arteta and Yakubu were undoubtedly bigger losses, as good as Jags has been - and he has been utterly fantastic - but we have an international captain who is lightning quick and excellent in the air to step in; yes he is a gangly risk-taking and sometimes terrifying-on-the-ball libero but I have faith in Joe Yobo.
And dont forget we've still got Joleon who is world class.

The good news is that Jags will still be Everton's POY by a comfortable margin.

Do agree with the younger players too.
