It's an utter pisstake.

As said, I think this is a decision made on the basis that the Sigurdsson fee is so outrageously OTT it's only going to leave room for a FW to be brought in.

The defence is a shambles. I dont think many will deny that at this moment.

Nothing wrong with this. Solid back-up when needed. He knows he won't be starting and is obviously happy to be a squad member. Plus he provides experience and will help the younger players too.

Loved jags in his prime but it's time to go. Absolute lack of ambition by Everton giving him a new deal. Wasn't he dropped on more than one occasion last year

May I suggested with all due respect nonethat you need not inform people you've stopped caring?
 

Happy with this. Will probably play all of the cup games and his experience will help some of the youngsters. Don't see why some have a problem with this to be honest.
