Player Valuation: £1m
As good as he has been playing recently, at the end of the day he has ultimately got very little skill. Like the Rhino before him, he has plenty of commitment but very little skill.
Are we really going to push forward with such a player like him in the side? I think not.
The sooner either Baines gets fit or we buy another Centre Half (And letting the brilliant Lescott continue at left back were he excels) the better for the club
 


An attempted serious response (probably my last for Halewood :P )

- Very little Skill? A tad harsh. He doesn't have silky skills with the ball at his feet, but surely last man tackles involve some element of skill? too broad a brushstroke that, mate.

- Plenty of commitment? Agreed.

- Push forward with him there? I think so - I would trust Jags in a one on one as much as any other defender.

- Baines gettign fit - yes, I agree, that will cause more competition for places and better performances from ALL defenders.

Another centre back? No, we have more pressing needs (defensive midfielder if manny doesn't work out) and RB

- lescott doesn't like playing LB ( he said so in a recent interview)

Last ditch tackles because he has normally got himself in that situation

Dont agree we will ever progress with the likes of Neville & Jags playing regularly
 
This has to be a wing up, because...why the [Poor language removed] does a centre back need skills!? You onyl see yobo take on a player when its safe, or needed, the last tiem i saw him with skill was agaisnt fiorentina (when he lost the ball) and metalist.

What a ridiculous thing to say, may aswell get howard to improve his skills to, get ihm to do a dance on the D.
 
theres a few sides in the league that could do with a talismanic defender of jags quality in their ranks.

we havnt conceded many or lost any league games since the turn of the year when jags came in.

not progress?

ever see the one where the safe falls from a tall building onto the mouse or the cat, out comes the stethoscope, fiddle with the lock mechanism, and out pops the mouse or cat or whatever.

A centre back doesnt need skills? You better tell Joey, & Lescott to cut out them skills then, there not needed!! Unvbelievable
