Jack Rodwell

He got injured, career fell apart, we made a massive profit on him, don't understand why people hate him.

On pitch performances for me, I’m sure he’s a great lad and all but Everton means a lot to me and the way he ran around in an Everton shirt was disgusting. He played like if he felt physical contact he would instantly die.

There was a Derby game at anfield where Gerrard scored I think 3 , and anyone on this forum would have given Everton a better shift that Rodwell that night. It was absolutely sickening.

I must admit, I never really rated him. I remember me and my dad being dumbfounded when we’d got £12m or whatever it was for him

Did he, did he really, who knows? We didn't say no to the offer.
Anyway he's not been missed - Not once...we probably needed £12m more and were lucky that City had more money than sense.

Indeed, degs.

That is news to me.

As far as I know Jack never publicly agitated for a move.

City made us an offer that was too good to refuse....no doubt he was offered a deal we would not or could not match.

So an amiable deal was concluded.

Jack Rodwell was no Joleon Lescott or Ross Barkley.

I don't hate Rodwell, that goal against utd was sublime. Just disappointed he didn't fulfill his potential (and here of course, when he left I couldn't care less how he developed).

To quote the Klassen apologists
"There's a footballer in there somewhere !"
As a young man he was absolute quality. Other than Rooney he was the best young player I have seen.

Unfortunately he turned out to be so injury prone I could not believe what City paid us. He never became what he easily could have been due to injuries. Glad he has had a career and made a few quid, but sign him!! Come on...

He was absolutely garbage. Not even in the same league as Rooney, literally a league 1 player.

Developed a reputation when he was 15 as he was a foot taller than the rest of the 15 year olds, he put in some of the most disgusting performances an Everton player has ever managed and that’s really saying something.

Has made a living of being better than a load of schoolkids when he was in year 11.

he was an absolute crab,

he literally wasnt good at anything, couldnt tackle, couldnt intercept couldnt thread a ball through

scored about 2 worldies and felt entitled to dig it into the park end every time he got it

if he didnt look like a member of a jarg xfactor boy band he wouldnt have had any fuss at all
