If he finds form that’s a good move for Blackburn. Not sure whether he has the brain for midfield though. Would like to see him get a run of games at CB just to see whether there’s a top player in there.

I wish him the very best. I met him with my then young daughter and her cousins after a game at GP and for a youngster he was a model of politeness and modesty. No sign whatsoever of ego and had lots of time for these early teens kids.

A lovely contrast to the arrogance seen in others both young and older who seem to believe the hype and the publicity entitles them to treat genuine fans with disdain.

I feel like that perception has followed him throughout his career and hasn't helped it one bit.

I can't quite get my head round the fact that some people still think he should be a centre half because he played there when he was 14. Incredible stuff.
