Well, we have now reassembled last years squad that finished 12th on 48 points(minus a couple bit players). Anything we do from here on out can be to improve on the squad

Plus a new Tim.

Pleased to get Jack back with us on loan for another season. Avoids transfer spend and keeps competition up.

Decent squad player on minimal outlay that will no doubt play his part at times.

I'm hopeful he can be better than last season with the year he's already had to acclimatise to the club.

I agree. It is now up to the club to buy a player that will replace him as first choice. I have no problem with using the loan system to to strengthen the squad with “more experienced” players.

Just want us to make sure they are short term fixes and we are tackling improving the first XI with purchases

As much as i want us to have better players, it is going to take time even when the new owners take over that so it is sensible to resign him on loan again. Knows the club, knows the manager and handy to have in the squad. Welcome back Jack.

I figure the loan is dictated by Harrison's contract.

We might have indicated we may make it permanent - I figure if we need the loan space? I doubt it though...

Or to keep Leeds from loaning him elsewhere, but was definitely in his contract.

I mean it is, it luckily didn't work.

And luckily not because we got Harrison back, but because LOL LEEDS

Better than buying him last season tho - his price is/was between 15 and 20 (sources etc.), plus wages, would've been 25-30 or so.

Hard to be anything other than happy with this. I still don't think we've seen the best of him, hasn't cost us anything, the manager likes him and he works hard. One less headache while we focus on other targets.

We have a long and proud record of signing low-impact players that have little-to-no positive influence on the team, and it’s not steered us wrong yet. We’ve played more seasons in England’s top flight that anyone, so the proof is in the pudding.

For that reason, I am fully behind this contract extension.

Nice to see a player want to join us again. I make no secret that I really like this fella and as said - if we played him on the left he'd be more effective. Hard worker who knows what is expected.
