Easier to pick up illness after a few drinks out in populated places either way.
So even if he didn't get "smashed" or wasn't "hungover". Most likely being out for a few bevvies surrounded by people in middle of winter has made him pick up something easier.
Anyway, let's hope he's good for Tuesday.
Harry Catterick fined the players one minute late for training at 10 am - he instructed the pen to be removed by 10 am & a pencil put in its place-
James Garner stated before Christmas Grealish was tuning up late most days for training & one of DMs blue eyed boys .....![]()
That's an interesting dilemma: do we prioritise FA Cup or league points (or both!).Need him back for the Forest and Brentford games then I'd rest him again for the Wolves game before bringing him back for the cup game.
He's got to be used so we get the maximum quality for us. Sitting out two games where we really should be pulverising the opposition (Burnley and Wolves) is just common sense.
What is the source of these stories? Not sure what to think really.
If the stories are true about a pre Christmas blow out, then you would make sure you were fit and ready to play next game.
To cry off doesn’t look good. Especially at a time your team are short thru AFCON and injuries.
Some say lack of professionalism is what effectively ended his career under Pep.
Cup every time. That's an interesting dilemma: do we prioritise FA Cup or league points (or both!).
I can see the logic in prioritising ONLY 6 FA Cup games.
But I can also see that a potential 6 points gained against (perceived) weaker teams would push us well up the table. Gaining us confidence.
Neither option could be presumed. On balance I think I'd prioritise the league.
Yet Jack has performed well for us. I'm happy for him to have an extended break.

You`re going to have to back that one up about Garner grassing him Joey.
Please post where that was said.
Your brother and the Daily Mail don`t count.
Really good summation of my personal beef with it. Ideally we should be striving for sporting and conditioning perfection now, not accommodating admittedly very talented but slightly maverick players. He and Foden were caught, not once but twice at night clubs, both were binned off last season as a result.
Pep is crazy strict, weight, diet, tactics, footage etc.
He also didn’t think Jack could do it every three days anymore. Once a week sure.
Not saying Jack wasn’t sick or anything at the weekend or that he doesn’t give it all. But there are reasons he’s here and not at City anymore.
In truth , he enjoys a drink in his time off, it’s allowed - he won’t be crucified for it the way he was at City, we’ll be more accommodating because of his talent.
I saw this as well. Couldnt remember if Garner or Iroegbunam said it.
Grealish turns up late, frequently.
Moyes' pet and nosedived since the first few games.
Loves moyes no doubt as hes not punished for lateness, can hit strip clubs and go drinking...
...big difference to Pep.
At this current performance level i wouldnt be extending his stay.
Loads of teams have players missing through illness at this time of year, footballers aren't immune to viruses.
I can vouch for you mate.I was the male stripper xxx Laters Rhino Rod xTo be honest Jack caught it off me as we were sharing those yard of ale things full of Guinness and then having a threesome with a stripper at the lap dance club.![]()
