2025/26 Jack Grealish

savona tried a reducer on him in the first minute and got a booking. That's very telling, I think he's looking a bit jaded but he's playing a full season for the first time in how long? Also doesn't have a fully functioning most expensive side in history (m city) performing for him.
What is good is that KDH and him look like they've played football together all their lives.

Stunk the joint out with his passing yesterday but he had an off game in a 3 nil win. Along with KDH he has been the most consistently solid player for us this far so I can hardly blame him. We have something to work with. This is the year to overachieve so we can build on what we have instead of being forced into a fire sale. Hopefully the Friedkin's take the chance in January. No Europe or cups so if there was a sneaky top 4 chance for us this is it with Grealish, Ndiaye and hopefully a healthy Branners soon still here.

Every team doubling up on him now but still doing good things when he can.

Will move up another level if we have a more attacking forward thinking Left back doing some of the hard yards with him.
Oppositions attention is buying KDH that bit more space, hopefully we keep up playing Alcaraz, because it means a man over somewhere. If that means Gana back in so Garner RB he can utilise the support slot and let Ili work higher.
This set up is what newcastle exploited, we pushed up and they set the trap on the break with elanga. We'll be a bit more sure footed with the pace of Branthwaite returned at the back and maybe an Antonee Robinson type full back.

It's nice evaluating squad options and improvements when survival isn't the immediate issue. It's handy wondering where McNeil and Beto are going to get a sub appearance instead of fretting if they'll be starting or injured.

He’s not been at his best for weeks, but his 7/10 is still better then most.

His first touch, keeping us in possession longer & craft at winning free kicks still there.

Just want to see him start beating his man again, and just being a real danger in the opposition box.

But as others have said, that last bit might just be because he’s a bit jaded & needs a rest.
