Yep which is why it’s bizarre that we signed any of them. My view is Moyes knew he’d cocked up the window and Grealish was loaned to appease fans etcUnfortunately Dibling plays in the same way. And McNeil moves like a glacier.
Yep, didn’t want to loan him and haven’t seen anything to change my mind. A good manager, doesn’t change the successful system he had last season he just gets better players who suit that system. Sure if you can get players who can do this and are also adaptable then sign them.I'm not remotely bothered if he signs.
Give him the ball and 9/10 times he'll stop and wait for no apparent reason.
He's a ball hogger who slows the play down.
Yesterday we had our team attacking newcastle and just tapped it about like City with no one making any attempt to run with the ball or play a sexy pass bar Garner.
Yes, i do see one or two flashes of elite quality a game where he makes a super cross or pass.
In this team we need players who go at players not slow the play.
Thats not Everton.
Unfortunately Dibling plays in the same way. And McNeil moves like a glacier.
Dibling is like Villa Grealish.
That player was attack minded and quick to play the ball. What we have after half a dozen games has been a slow down the play, Grealish.
Attack minded and quick to play the ball is NOT how anyone would describe Dibling so far, let’s be honest.
It really doesn’t help that we have a left back behind him who has a complete inability to play attacking football.Noticeable how deep he was having to come yesterday to get the ball, at times in our 3rd. Reminiscent of Dyches' use of Ndiaye last season.
He's being isolated by the tactics and it needs Moyes to start changing things up. Get Ndiaye closer to him to enable more one-twos and more attacking intent.
What I find most annoying is we have 2 wide players who the opposition are terrified of so throw players at them, yet we are incapable of exploiting the gaps that should create. When he is so easily doubled up on, is only 20% as effective. If he was able to trounce two players repeatedly for 90 minutes he wouldn't be here.
I think it's why Moyes has pushed KDH on because he has that quality, needs to trust Alcaraz more because KDH has to help us further back. Garner can play forward, so can KDH. Defence is a quivering wreck. What I find most annoying is we have 2 wide players who the opposition are terrified of so throw players at them, yet we are incapable of exploiting the gaps that should create.
Do think Grealish should have a pop more often too. He came make a bit of space for himself on the edge of the box easy enough, but seems very reluctant to have a shot.
For now, he is a problem, he isn’t (recently) used to playing with such rubbish around him, we need a left sided midfielder who will just get it in to box ASAP, at city he had that much talent around him he could slow it down, to the point the attack was restarting, but the quality could still pick a pass to a lethal striker who understood how to move around the box.Grealish is not the problem, as its been said in this chat, when he looks up he has 2 sometimes 3 players in front of him, so he looks behind and he has Mykolenko behind him, not an option so he runs back and lays it inside to Garner or KDH.
Until we upgrade the fullbacks this is what we will see from Grealish and Ndiaye for the foreseeable future.
or Jan. over to you Moyes
