2025/26 Jack Grealish

He’s an experienced international and has won everything, but still funny he calls him Moysey to the main media channels, not gaffer, boss or the manager. Not sure I’d have every player doing that, but must be great for him playing in such an environment where he can just be himself. We think it’s tough playing for Everton with all the expectations. It’s like a Sunday kickabout for him after City and it gets the best out of him.

The fact he is wandering round in matches thinking “imagine what it would be like to score a winner now” like a kid is beautiful.

Davie’s going soft!

He’s actually quite professional. I think he is kind of mocking the nonsense image. He has a good head on his shoulders and is balanced - a good family man.

Let’s be honest, if he wants to let his hair down now and again it’s better that he does than lose his zest for the sport.

Every manager he has played under has spoken about his professionalism (including Pep).

You can’t be as good at football as he is without working hard and being on it every day.

…..I was sat in Club View and it seemed to take an age for our players to return to our half after the winning goal. Grealish was near the touch line below us, still in the Palace half and he walked 5 yards onto the pitch and stood in isolation looking at the South Stand. He put his arms out and the South Stand erupted.

It was such an iconic moment and I wonder if it was lost because it wasn’t in the immediate aftermath of the goal. It looked glorious, hopefully it was captured.
This one?
