You can call it what you want literal, poetic, wonderful etc it was a two yard pass and Garner had the nous to take a very quick and very good shot which beat the keeper all ends up from just outside the penalty area.

In those situations at Villa he always did the same. Stepped inside and waited for the LB to overlap and then pass and wait for cut back.

I would like to see him shoot more tbh. Maybe Pep totally coached that out of him but he did hit some lovely goals at Villa curling in from edge of box so he has that in his locker but not done it much at all so far.

I think Watkins was still at Brentford when Grealish moved to City—but it’s only a minor point either way.
