He's rejected the chance to talk to Chelsea. I'd snap him up at Â£3.5m and loan him back to Brum so that he can continue to play first team football. When he's ready we could replace Howard with him or sell him on for a fat profit.

Not a bad idea, doubt it would happen though.

If we don't have any other targets in mind with the Â£8.6m we had earmarked for Fer then Butland would be a sound investment.

It's going to be tough getting deals off the ground with 30 hours to go. We know how much Butland costs and that Brum are willing to sell. I'm surprised that more clubs than Chelsea haven't been sniffing round for a bargain.

He would offer us something different, we could get him for free as they want him of the wage bill (wages rumoured at Â£55,000 a week) AND lets not forget Moyes did enquire over Zigic before Birmingham bought him.
At the time, quiet a few premier league clubs made general enquiries and where all put off by the asking price of Â£6 million.
Valencia did pay Â£16 million for him!

Why do you keep banging on that we should sign Zigic? He's awful. 1 in 4 for Birmingham, most of them in the Championship. If you think that's good enough for a team pushing for a Champions' League place you've lost it.
