I saw Billy in Sapporro after the Pompey game at home last season when he scored that belta. I congratulated him on his goal and he looked genuinely scared!
met tommy grav and radinski in there . kendal in magaluf to be honest i cant be arsed with players when there not on the pitch.
met robert carlyle in the blue house, good bloke, had him up the wall but was up for a laugh

i spent my honeymoon with wayne clarke

in kenya in 1985-he played for birmingham at the time.he spent most of the time moaning about the food.at dinner one night a bloke came over and asked him for his autograph and after he had signed it the bloke said "thanks, allan"!his wife was fed up with people often mistaking him for his brother.
i ended up with more photos of him than the wife.
he did a sound job for us a few years later to help win the league-especially a fantastic chip at highbury to beat arsenal.,a hat trick v newcastle and the winner v the red sh*te.
funny,he was featured in one of the programmes and his answer to "were is there worst place you have visited?" was kenya!

good bloke.

Something like that might spook him :P.

Didn't Dixie Dean start his own pub after retiring from footy? I seem to recall seeing that in a documentary on him once.

I am loving the hell out of this thread by the way.
