Cahill needs to become a super sub or moved back to play CM ( covering injuries only) instead of Neville.

Neville should not be starting CM anymore. Either squad player covering full backs or starts at RB depending on whether u think him or hibbert are best.

Heitinga should be playing CB. (He played in a world cup final you know!!)

Saha is struggling mainly for playing up top with Cahill. Change his partner or tactics, he would come good.

i agree with the original post

although i'd also try to sell jags asap, to someone who thinks he's world class and give us loads of money

Hibbert is a good squad player, but shouldn't be starting for us.

Neville is shocking, its like playing with 10 men, I doubt he'd get into any other team's first XI. Coach role for you lad.

Cahill, as much as it pains me, looks finished. He should be used in a Ferguson esque fashion though to **** teams up in the last 15 minutes. He's lost that heading ability and the ability he always had to arrive late in the box.

Saha, is as good as anyone on his day...when he has a strike partner. VERY FEW strikers look decent on their own up top, and I mean very very few. When played with Beckford last year Saha was top class against Spurs. I'd like to say keep him, but the dour ginger one wont play 4-4-2 so no point there.

Bily, always has been, and always will be, off the pace. He's not suited to the English game, as much as I think he's a top bloke we need to cash him in, and I think we will.

Heitinga, although he has been decent lately, I would still flog him if a decent off came in. High earner, who has made quite a lot of mistakes which have resulted in goals. Also opens his mouth to the media far too often.

Also, we shouldn't of sold Beckford.

Cahill was done over a year ago, Hibbert before he started playing. Nev brings a lot in terms of motivating but he just isn't good enough. What's the big hate for Saha though? I don't really get that one. If I was lone striker, un-supported week in week out with long hoofs aimed at my partially ginger hair from Jagielka, I think I'd give up as well. He doesn't fit the system. In a 442 I think he could do some damage.

I agree with this.

I love Cahill so much, but he BADLY needs a rest, FFS, he couldnt even header a ball today without feeling pain, give him a month off, let him go back to Oz, walk on the beach and recharge his batterys and his battered body.

What would we lose by giving Cahill 4-6 weeks off, back home, no football complete rest, with an agreement when he comes back he's retired from international football ? It's just too radical for Dour Davey...

I'm not a football manager. Nor I imagine are most of you. If you are, I would guess that you aren't pro's. I'm not going to write off any players completely, but I agree that Phil Neville hasn't played well this season. He was left out a lot at the start of the season, and I would imagine that he has been in recently because of injuries to Fellaini and Rodwell

Personally, I also agree with the people who have pointed out Cahill's fitness post Asia Cup. He hasn't looked right since. However, before then he had scored 9 goals in the first half of that season. One bad year does not a has-been make. Maybe he does need a rest, and the team played well with Ossie in his role against Swansea before further injuries brought him back in for the Sunderland and West Brom games.

It always disappoints me to see Hibbert's name mentioned in these lists. He's a good solid player, and one of the best tacklers I've seen. Ok, so he's not the best going forward, but I reckon he's better defensively than most full backs in the Premiership. You rarely get full backs these days who can do both. If we had billions to spend like City or Chelsea then he probably wouldn't be first choice, but he is the kind of player that every squad needs.

Wait and see with Saha - his contract is almost up.

Agree with the above re. Hibbert. Our fans have a horrible habit of tearing into our local lads for the slightest thing (Hibbo, Osman, Rodwell, Anichebe, goes on and on) and I just don't get it. He's been top class. Even his crossing is improving.

There are far worse players in the squad than those struggling with age and or ability.

Hibbert stays because if a last ditch saving tackle has to be made, he gets my vote.
Cahill needs some time off, but can be phased in and out like we did Ferguson.
Nev is knackered, father time catches all, a great example to the youth and experience galore. Youth assistant if he fancies it.
Saha, all the leeches and all the voodoo and god knows what else can't resurrect this former world class player. Luck has followed his knees, abandoning him, he has no confidence and isn't even linking play up well against the poorest sides. Retirement on the riviera and sl@gs galore could be his pasture new.

Yeah, anyway. Bily - offski !
Heitinga - world cup defender my eye.
McFadden - marsbaritis.
Mucha - gone.
Hannehman - gone.
Straq - adios.

Moyes has to cut the fat, and pt the prayers in that places not covered don't pick up injuries.

this. I like Hibbo. Decent defender and does a good job, timmy needs rest, Saha ****ed, nev utility.

I love Hibbert. I'd put him in our top 3 or 4 performers this season. Which probably isn't saying much.

I agree with giving Cahill a rest. He looks like he needs a good long rest to give his body time to recover. However, in addition to that, he needs to reevaluate his commitment to playing for Australia. He wont like it, but playing for them is not helping him prolongue his career. Although, maybe he doesn't want to. He might well feel that it's an acceptable sacrifice to be able to play for his country. Who knows? But if he keeps it up, I can't see him having a future here.

He's 30 years old!!

His crossings getting better? YOU could cross a ball better than Tony Hibbert. Osman has skills. Rodwell is classy. Anichebe is scaggy. Hibbert is just plain useless.
