Having seen his interview on EvertonTV and reading up online about him:
Very good - all the key things, but I like the word “development” he mentioned half a dozen times in the interview. Some of the players outside the “first 11″ - need to be able to come in and do the job when players form drops (fatigue or injury) where we lost it last season. Round sounds like he knows exactly whats needed.

I think Steve Round see’s himself as coming in to help ensure we bolster quality throughout the squad, so Moyes has more options in games and if people are going off form or injured.
Sounds to me like we may have got the perfect man for the job, because he knows himself what he’s here to do….. plus he knows what we’re about, what the strengths are and the above weakness…
I think he’ll be perfect in fitting into the system Moyes has set up imho.

Am made up. Now I want to see Moyes signed up. I'm a huge admirer of Moyes.
He's the hero (facing down the 42x RS champions league money differential unprecedented in English football, effectively creating a monopoly), and a top bloke.

Welcome mate, do you like pasties?

My mates, cousin - who's a groundman, overheard went past Moyes' office and seen Round sitting in his big leather chair with all of Moyes' stuff piled in boxes. He was on the phone looking serious and writing stuff down. He was curious so went back later and had a look at the piece of paper and it said:

"Ronaldo = Arteta + 5 mil"

"Lucho Gonazalez = 13 mil (See Bill"

"Paul Dickov = swop for AJ"

Its from a reliable source, dont shoot the messenger lads. Great site.

Hes probably one of the best pound for pound coach in the Pem given his age, expierence and what he has acheived already in his career. A very good appointment. Worth the wait.

He should be a good coach and support to Moyes, now we have a supporting man for Moyes how about some new midfield player, a back-up keeper, some back-up defender and another striker.

Steve Round has revealed it was a personal ambition to work with David Moyes.

Steve Round has revealed it was a personal ambition to work with David Moyes.
New man Round observed the Everton boss in action while visiting training as part of his England responsibilities.
And he quickly became and admirer of the way Moyes operates.
Round told evertonTV: "I knew David from the circuit and playing against him with teams, and I've always admired the way his teams played.
"When I was with England one of my remits was to go around the clubs and watch training. I spent a few days at Man Utd, Arsenal, Chelsea, then I cam to Everton because there are a few England players at Everton.
"I went to Bellefield, watched training, and spent a few days with David and I was really impressed."

The former Middlesbrough and Newastle coach was particularly impressed with the way Moyes made the most of a smaller squad and budget than many other teams.
Round recalled: "Here was a staff and a team that were maximising on the talent, and the budget that they have got. Everything they were doing was, I think, the right thing to do.
"When I was there they had a load of children come in from the local area and all the players took them for a coaching session. I thought, 'wow, no club does that apart from Everton'. Then I thought if I ever got the chance to work with David, I would take it."
The Blues have now moved, of course, from Bellefield to Finch Farm, and the new facility has also earned the approval of Everton's new assistant.
"I am very impressed with the training ground," declared Round. "I have been to most training grounds in the country and this ranks up there with the best of them. I haven't seen any better anywhere.
"Everything is in place for the players to get better and move forward."

Hope they strike up a great relationship as when it works off the field, It makes it better on!!

young, good at his job with an amazing cv for his age.

looks like just the type of person moyes wants at the club.

amazing cv?
there is one common trend in the jobs he has been in

england's performance on the pitch = [Poor language removed]
middlesbroughs performance on the pitch = [Poor language removed]
newcastles performance on the pitch = [Poor language removed]

................am not convinced

maybe, just maybe, moyes has unknowingly stumbled across mclarens downfall
