Southgate did bottle it in the end,parking the bus when he could score a 2nd and he did the young guns in, by giving them a responsibility they couldn't handle.
I didn't support any of them but oh well I would prefer a Mancini to the spaniard. So well done Italy.

Have always had an affinity with Italian football, mainly due to the football on Channel 4 and the talent that they had in that league in the 90s, partly due to Italia 90. Just brings back great memories of my first major tournament watching as a kid.

Fair play to them, they were the better team.

Outclassed by Spain for much of that encounter, and the Swiss took them the distance. But they prevailed.

They also had the most amount of memorable players in the tournament. Chiesa, Insigne, Spinazzola are fantastic attacking players. They lit the tournament up.
