It was the players...

What worried me more than the lack of imagination. Was the lack of closing down, pressing and winning of the second balls. I can only put that down to fitness and a lack of desire(which is madness given that the cup was the only competition left open to us). And it reinforces the notion that this year we only seem to turn up against the big teams...

They had all of the above against Chelsea so i dont think fitness can be made as an excuse

It was the players and Moyes.

Big picture wise, it was the players, Moyes and the board.

Anyone who thinks none of the above parties are to blame is in denial.

Baxter was trying to get forward. In two minutes are you really saying he was playing right back?

They actually went three at the back and he went central/right on the edge of the box.

Did you go to the game?

I was thinking that but dident want to put it and be wrong and there for ridiculed forever

Tbf, despite how much time he had (also thanks to Moyes), he did just play right back...or atleast, he didnt do anything else other than on the right in our own half

That maybe because after he came on we hardly had the ball and looked like we defended for most of the 5mins added on

In two minutes plus the 5 minutes injury time - when no one would get hold of the ball ?

And Reading took it down their left to try and hold it up?

Oh yeah.

Its obvious some weren't at the game making the comments.

Because when he did try and get forward he went central.

Doesnt matter why, it still happened, and he still effectively played right back, so for someone to ask "did you go to the game", its abit insulting if he was right, even if it was not an intended move

You obviously didn't go to the game.

Why do you always ask if people went the game? It doesnt make sense, they would surely have a better opinion if they didnt, with the benefit of a better view, commentators, replays and stats...

...And he still effectively went at right back...as ive said - wether it was intended or not, so you cant question people when they say what they saw

Because if you're at the game you might see things the cameras didn't pick up.

He didn't effectively play at right back. He went back to double up to get the ball back along with Jagielka.

When it went forward he went into the middle.
