Issues at the Emptyhad

One of the reasons given for the low capacity at Hill Dickenson was the poor financial return from the increase construction cost especially if the seats were not regularly sold. But there must be thousands of ocasional fans who would go if you can pay at the turnstile. Big capacity, easy turnstile access and halftime scores on a pitch side board.

I was one of many who failed to get into the stadium today until 15.30 due to problems with digital tickets and only one turnstile working. Fans, In great numbers as you can imagine, were very angry and impatient.
I have already alerted Man City and Everton with an email regarding this, and if anyone else has experienced the same, I I urge those concerned to the right thing and make it known of the incompetence of Manchester City.
Digital everything has become an unnecessary problem for most day to day life things now, you can't even send a parcel back these days without needing to download some kind of app. We should just go back to basics.

It was L1 where the problems were. We got there at 2.45 which was later than planned and didn’t get in until 3.20. Absolutely ridiculous. L1 stopped working completely and it look an age for one of the staff to arrive and manually zap us in with a hand held device.

Took my 7 year old nephew to his first away game (fave non Everton player Haaland) and this his first experience!

Was chatting to a City fan walking back towards Piccadilly station and he said his ST stopped working on his android phone and they’d had all kinds of problems with the tech.

We were outside for 40-50 mins trying to sort out our tickets. Michael Ball was just in front of us in the queue for the ticket office to get printed tkts. The woman recognised him, and his tkts were printed pretty quickly, but then back to snail pace for us. There were lots of people behind us, and whole rows of empty seats in the away section even 20 mins into the game. Farcical.

Citeh have been at their pesky ground for years and there is no excuse for cocking up their transition to the infernal digital tickets. At least Everton have an excuse for their chaos on account of the stadium move

Thank you for your email and bringing this to our attention.

We will certainly pass your feedback over for review.

In regards to a refund for your match ticket, this will have to go back to Everton for review due to the purchase of the ticket being from them.

Thanks

There is a reason why City challenge for competitions and dont worry about PSR. Its unfortunate drift we will follow.

They're expanded their stadium, invested in the local area (Etihad campus) and Manchester is basically now the second city of the UK with major businesses moving their (Castore for example moving from Liverpool to Manc).

We've got people pushing the city to build affording housing in between the stadium and city centre as opposed to using the space to optimise private investment.

Until then we will never get the income for hospitality they get and struggle with PSR for a long time.

There are plenty of new affordable housing developments in most UK cities.... including some of those new apartment builds around Manchester city centre. There will be an element of them in some of our new waterfront and city centre schemes.

What a disgraceful reply!!

What a disgraceful reply!!

Unless the source of the problem was somehow due to faulty digital tickets issued by EFC.... as I'm not sure exactly how that process works.

This needs to be relayed to our club for their response. If it's a case of EFC simply passing on digital tkts supplied by Man City.... then surely it can be batted straight back to them. Their digital tickets, their infrastructure and their staff....... therefore, their responsibility!
