Is there such thing as a bad player?

Depends what context you put it in really.

Brett Angell was a terrible player for Everton. But I bet he was better than anyone who has ever posted on GOT ever.

Per Koldrup was a seasoned international footballer with 50 plus caps but was really poor for Everton so environment can make a good player bad but then again Joe Parkinson, John Ebbrell, Graham Stuart, Dave Unsworth, Tony Cottee, Leon Osman etc etc etc have been good players for Everton and have about 10 caps between them. So interntionally they could be deemed bad players but for us have been good.

I put it down to poor management, environment and the squad you play in.

Very few of us would say Dixon, Winterburn, Linighan, Keown, Bould were good footballers but along side Adams and coached by Graham they had great careers and are by definition good footballers.

I'd leave Parkinson out that list mate, he was struck down in his prime or else who knows what his international record could have been
