Is the attack worse than last season?

No not at all, Moyes just has the wrong players playing in the system that is not working, when we played Palace it highlighted this.

KDH in the 10 slows everything down

We can't continue to play both Grealish and Dewsbury Hall together in attack, they both want too long on the ball. Grealish is so gifted that it's worth him not being direct, as he's always likely to provide a flash of genius. Dewsbury Hall is not a number 10 and if he is to play it should be in centre midfield. Where he will have to battle with Garner. Gueye, Rohl and Villa Tim for one of the spots. While Alcaraz is not as gifted a player as Dewsbury Hall, his directness, aggression and eye for a goal is badly needed in the 10 role.

Going direct is trendy again, league leaders are. And play with 4 center backs in defence. Spurs did us by going direct.
Free kicks and throw ins are 'trendy'. Spurs just soaked up a lot of easily to predict and contain 'pressure' and held onto a lead against Everton.

There's nothing wrong with the way we're attempting to play as long as you have at least one FB capable of overlapping and swinging some crosses in - Moyes and the 'exceptional operators' failed to bring one to the club in the summer.

Definitely worse. Last season we had four strikers and we now have two who are both low on confidence. Beto is class but he's rough and ready and unpredictable. Barry I am starting to be concerned about- this was meant to be our marquee signing before Grealish and he's not looking ready for PL football. We need a genuine alternative to Beto so hopefully we can loan Barry to improve his confidence.

Our attack is miles better. The eye test tells you that and so do the stats... except for goals scored

We've been a little bit unlucky not to score more than we have - as well as a little bit over reliant on a no.9 who's got bricks for boots.

But we will regress to the mean eventually. I can see a 3 or 4 nil on the horizon.

Bigger issue is that we are shipping chances at the other end and it looks like we need to score 2 or 3 goals a game to win them at the moment

4 goals in 7 games. 1 of them was a penalty. Average of a goal a game so far which is worse than last season.

For me there are not enough goals in the starting eleven that keeps getting picked. Alcaraz and McNeil can score goals should they not be getting picked?

Or is it as simple as that better full backs would enable spaces to open up to create more chances and as a result goals would come naturally?
We have more creativity in the team this season, so if we have scored less goals, then the blame has to lie primarily with the strikers I think.

Not sure chermiti can be thrown in there. Or calvert lewin for that matter.
Im not sure this conversation exists as well if we just had a better than average centre forward who hits the target and net now and then. When i say now and then i mean 1 in 3 or 4 possibly.

Beto has had enough chances to be joint top scorer with Halland, We are creating chances no question, the strikers are awful, Beto wouldn't finish his dinner and Barry looks like he's playing in slow motion.

I don’t think they went direct. They played from the back and held on to possession for long periods in the first half. They just scored from corners.
Have a listen to Spurs fans, they are not happy with direct style . Id take one nil wins every match. Yeh we let them play because Keane and Tarkoski pairing can't achieve the high press...

Sorry we played some good football. Just did not play other aspects as well.

Poor finishing rather than technically able full backs cost us more.

And not playing the referee were equal if not more important factors in Spurs winning.

Gamesmanship of officialdom is something that Everton need to step up too.

Most other teams do to our detriment. I see no point in martyrdom of gentlemen play football, its danglies.
