Is the attack worse than last season?

The attack isn't worse. We are just not utilizing the options we have. As I said we had our best creative run towards the end of the year when Charly and McNeil were introduced into the team. Dwight is essentially out the door mentally so we have to get a better look at Charly. KDH should not be the 10.

We also had one blocked on the line and another from Gana that was heading in as well

we were the better side, we had more spells of pressure in both the first and second half, some dubious calls, great keeping from vicario, and some absolute sitters from beto

but they were clinical, and the backline was resolute whereas we were soft on the rare occasions they attacked.

The slowness comes from fears of the breakaway. It’s something we will have to suffer through until Branthwaite comes back as our defensive coverage lacks true pace.

Like anything else, it’s more complicated than it appears. We are a bit stretched and unable to achieve overloads in good positions down to a variety of factors.

But, to me, the fact our defensive line needs to adopt a deeper starting position has massive knock on implications for the whole side in both attack and defence.

People want simplistic and easy answers and, at this level, they don’t really apply.
if we look at Moyes's signings it pretty damn clear he made no attempt to buy players with pace who could play same style as last season but were better players. JOB is quicker than Branthwaite so could easily slot in at centre half and we could move 8 yards higher up the pitch. Moyes has chosen to play Keane there so that's on him, as is his complete failure to strengthen the team at right back. So its not something we have to suffer through, Moyes has options (he should have better ones but again that's on him) to change the current set up.

Who is to say the options are better though? We don’t see these guys everyday in training, but Moyes and the coaches do.

Well we know the current set up isn't working as you yourself admitted. As for the boss sees them everyday in training argument, lame and cliched.
It is more a curates egg than a binary. We had much of the game against Spurs and it was our play in both boxes that undid us. It suggests we need marginal improvement rather than a massive overhaul like some are advocating for.

Until we finally see the first eleven in the pitch we cannot fully judge whether we are in a good position or not.

So do I mate and we are slow, and worse in attack than last season. The stats just back up my opinion, but not yours.
Yes when DM came back his football was so fluent & yes it's now slow & pradantic- we show brief flashes- he needs to sort it out - onwards & upwards one would hope - my young nephew went to his first home game at BMD on Sunday loved tye stadium but not the performance however he's going bia coach to Sunderland next game ;)

4 goals in 7 games. 1 of them was a penalty. Average of a goal a game so far which is worse than last season.

For me there are not enough goals in the starting eleven that keeps getting picked. Alcaraz and McNeil can score goals should they not be getting picked?

Or is it as simple as that better full backs would enable spaces to open up to create more chances and as a result goals would come naturally?
Alcaraz and McNeill wouldn’t create the attacks the players they would replacing, would do. We’d be under the coach constantly with them two in the team.

Just poor in the most important part being the cf creating chances. And well honestly have given up with beto scoring now just got to that point just dont expect it now. That first chance he takes that i think was same vs villa and its a different game a cr has to be bought in january
