Is that kiss goodbye to Moyes then? Who would you want if so?

As disappointing the transfer window has been for us. Has anyone noticed all of moyes signings has signed for 4 years or more? Moyes clearly has a 4-5 year plan in place.

He wouldn't sign all these players and make our players sign extensions if he was going to leave. I can see him signing a 2-3 year extension. In the summer he may get some transfer funds, sky money and sales from players i.e.fellaini, heitinga, hiltz and so on.

We are only a few points off 4th with such a small talented squad. Our expectations for this season has been exceeded. It's only up from here. CYOB!

No matter.

It will be very interesting to see what and when things happen, because something has to. He will sign again or leave.

Another point,

How long should Everton leave it without looking for a replacement? A bit risky going into the summer with (at the minute) no contracted manager.

Nah lad - Moyes is deffo off. Lots of people on here have seen into the future. And they know that Moyes is really disappointed with this window because they have superior body language reading and mind reading skills. That's good enough to convince me really.

Like I said it's his job to quit, should he wish.

Completely. Moyes controls everything at the club. The only way the club could/would say no is if a) the cash simply wasn't there or b) there was some rule/law preventing it (as in no insurance etc).

I simply don't agree with you, you seem like a nice lad but we're probably never going to agree so I'll leave you to it (y)

I think he's happy to wait it out and see if anything comes up. He would've gone to Spurs a year ago, and he'd move this summer if a large club with good resources offered. The reality is there probably isn't a realistic job for him in the UK right now. Even if Spurs finish 5th they'll likely stick with AVB. Chelsea most likely will have considered him on a long list but... really? He'd be an underwhelming choice, and I seriously doubt the likes of de Boer, Klopp et al wouldn't be approached first.

If a nouveau riche club from Germany/Spain/France offers him something he might leave. Thing is, unless he takes us to fourth (or third) this season he's not going to exactly be a commodity for anyone bigger than Everton, and if we qualify for the CL he'll stay (unless Chelsea really do make him an offer). So...

Exactly this - whether he signs a contract or not.

I'd go further and say it's been this way since musings surfaced he was Fergies successor, never has a fella had his cake and ate so comfortably.

Absolutely no intention of falling out with you either!

But I've seen first hand how Moyes has the final say on wider matters let alone the team itself. The whole club is set up to serve Moyes. There is not a cat in hells chance he'd mess about trying to buy a player if he didn't have the cash (albeit in stages).

I reckon they could get close to it, not beat it maybe. Bundesliga is growing in reputation, i have no idea if he would go but he must be thinking "This is as far as i can take Everton " his stock is at a high, i cant honestly see him improving Everton without investment.

Moyes´s Everton has arrived at the proverbial glass ceiling that is for sure. Without real investment, the only way is down.

Believing anything else is to count on an unbroken chain of favorable coincidences. Never a smart thing to do.

No idea whether he'll sign tbh. I'm sure the board can promise the spending will happen in the summer. Everyone knows they had £3m to spend, so that needs to still be there in the summer. I'm sure they know how valuable Moyes is and will try to keep him but whether he'll stay is beyond me.

Idk if you looks at the players we have bought recently and have tried to buy it looks like he is has one eye on the future. All the players we have bought have been pretty young except pienaar.

Can't see one of the "bigger" clubs being interested to be honest. His trophy winning record being hugely overshadowed by managers like McClaren

no silverwhare in 500 games not a good stat on a cv - for job at top club -
not winning the PL can be explained to an extent - but the same arguments don't go for the FA and Capital One Cup - much smaller clubs than Everton have done that -
he has been very good for Everton but if we want to take the next step upward something has to change because the present setup has hit a ceiling -
if nothing changes then we must adjust our expectations downwards

He's one of the best paid managers in the game. He's right for the club, and he knows damn well that the club is right for him.
He'll continue to stall to see what jobs become available (like Spurs last year) and if he's offered one he fancies then I fully expect him to go. But I find that unlikely so think he'll stay. Having said that, I would actually like a new manager, there's plenty of better tacticians out there. Don't believe the 'we'll get relegated without Moyes brigade' for a second.
