What was spurs out of interest? 91million?

Seems what you spend tallys up with where you finish in the league to be honest.

TOP PREMIER LEAGUE WAGE BILLS 2009-10

Chelsea - £174m (£167m)
Man City - £133m (£83m)
Man Utd - £132m (£123m)
Liverpool - £121m (£107m)
Arsenal - £111m (£104m)

2008-09 wage bills in brackets

Will try find Spurs.

21 Year old Ramsey earning 55k a week.

No wonder he went there.

He's pretty decent though isn't he? Benayoun has never been more than a place filler since he left West Ham.

£60k a week for Almunia too, despite the handicap of being as much use as tits on a fish.

Sorry mate that's sort of what I meant not that they are paying huge wages just everyone (near enough is on a fortune ) and they are really cute with bonuses and signing on fees etc. which make the money up. They preach financial prudence but they pay a huge amour our and last year if you'd taken out the money paid to all the Chelsea sacked managers they weren't a million miles away I think . Obviously Chelsea was more I just mean they pay a huge overall wage bill which is backed up by the figures above .

Yeah, I missed the other post you put.

But I think its bound to happen. They have some quality footballers who get into the champs league each season.

It might not get them the silverware due to not spunking on transfer fees to tear top players away from other clubs, but its a fair wage bill for a top 4 side imo

That Arsenal fan wrote quite well. he didnt twist us or anything, i didnt get offended by it.

with this board, things just cant change radically.

Since January we have added
Jelavic
Pienaar
Naismith

And lost
Cahill
McFadden
Hanhemann

I did a breakdown of the squad in my oldest/youngest piece as I have been trying to look at the squad in different manners to try to gauge various concepts of quality and solidarity. Basically because it beats saying 'we need to make signings' and being bored with a million bogus transfer rumors.
Lets see what having a fully fit and settled in proper striker does to opposition defences, oppositions will have to show us a lot more respect in terms of our attacking. I feel we are a completely different unit to starting the season last august.

You forgot Gibbo lid!

I thought it was a reasonable article as seen by someone not obssesed/fanatical about Everton. He wasn't patronising and hit a few nails.Liked the fact that he sees EFC as a" big club"

Really don't see what him being an Arsenal fan has got to do with it, at all. By that logic THT and LCAB should close their site (which is great) because they write about clubs other than Everton.

Every opinion is a valid one, even if it is stupid.
