Is South Liverpool The RS Part Of The City?

I think it's about TV, in 90s and nougties United, RS to a lesser extent Arsenal and Chelsea got lots of coverage. RS would get 23 televised matches we might get 13. RS have always been club of uneducated halfwits who never go to game, yet mouth off like they're big fans.

That was what confused me about Paddy "the saddy" Pimlett quote the other week: he said blues follow the England team because we're glory hunters. England haven't won a pot for about 30 years before we last did ffs

Not an option I'm afraid, I've loved them since I clapped eyes on them.

The one consolation is that they are too young to remember when the RS were undisputed top-dogs, so they are not mouthy gobshites.
 
My Dad went to Booker Avenue and St Margarets in Aigburth in the 1960's and was massively outnumbered from what he tells me.

Whenever I am over in Liverpool it annoys me how they always have far more of a "presence" with their banners and flags flying from houses and pubs etc. I'm sure it will be down to recent success as our fans would be doing the same if we'd recently won a Cup, but the Everton presence feels reduced year by year.

Seems to be the same in North and South Liverpool.

Does the Everton support really rival theirs in North Liverpool? Close to equal?

More everton fans in north and south Liverpool. More Liverpool customers everywhere else

You should be grateful of that because it has kept their numbers down. When I went to school in the 70s, my class was pretty evenly split between City and Utd. By the time my lad was at school in the late 90s he was the only City fan in his class.
 
Think it comes down to proper fans vs “fans”. There is defo more LFC “fans” in and around the city who generally aren’t that arsed about football, but when pressed on who they support would say LFC.

It's funny you know, as I speak to some Manchester lads at work who are United, and go home and away. One of them have kids all support City. They just said to him United are terrible and have no intention of watching them.

For a fan of a certain age, a mad statement.
