Is Premier League Boring?

hmm, I could say the same about La Liga, Valencia was the last team in 2004 to win la liga that wasn‘t the big 3. Bundesliga, Ligue 1 have the same problem basically. Serie A also.

The PL is likely to get 5 cl spots, so this battle is really exciting as boring the champion and relegation battle is.

Really hope Forest can do it, but it shows that a underdog can still do it, also with a type of football that doesn‘t really fit a usual CL team, but suits the team.
I admire your club Athletic Bilbao immensely and they are my second team. Their basque only player policy gives them a proper identity which you don't get in football anymore. Plus they are having a cracking season which shows how proper youth development done well can be successful even in the capitalistic world of modern football

Personally this season has been worst season ever, an average RS side, who have an appalling defence have managed to comfortably win title. Their nearest challengers Arsenal have managed to continually do their best to drop points. I used to know most players from other clubs, now I don't even bother watching other teams. It it just me that finds modern game tediously boring?
Often boring. I only watch it because of Everton. But it's not the boredom that has put me off but the hype, money and bias towards certain clubs. It's not the game I grew up with

My elder lad’s team played against a Premier League club’s academy development group team at U12’s.
They were bloody massive kids!! All taller than any of my lad’s team, and these weren’t even the real academy kids.
I do wonder now how many players have made it, due to simply being athletes rather than skill.

Still find the premier league a much better watch than any of the other European leagues, only matched by the GOLAZZZZO period of Serie A in the 90’s. The pace & physicality of the prem is unrivalled, even if the players are not as good as previous, just a lot fitter. The end to end nature of the Fulham vs Turds game yesterday was a good game for the neutral, if only for the Kamikaze defending. City’s constant possession based togger is tedious, as is Arsenal’s caveman ruining tactics, but you have to admire the likes of Villa & Forest and co who set up to win games. Good to see other teams gatecrashing the ‘big six’ party , just a damn shame we’ve been a million miles off it

Very rarely watch other than Everton v whoever we just played the best two teams in league, it's a poor league if that's the best two. Don't believe VAR and general officiating creates exciting spectacular.

Its only boring cos we aint in the conversation.
I see where you're coming from with that but it's not really the case. Even if we were in the conservation the overall thing would still be boring. Owing to the many things that have been listed by others in this thread

I think the whole Premier League thing has become very predicable which in turn makes it boring. Our current situation of being relatively safe only enhances the lack of interest and excitement in games hence the lack of atmosphere in recent games.

Yes, we are going through the most boring period since it began. The amount of top defenders and strikers are at an all time low, the few about now are top class but the quantity is not there, mainly due to the way teams play now.
Considering City have been the best team around for a while, they are the team I watch the least, boring to watch personally. A million passes left and right and stunted the likes of Grealish, and I would love to see what Foden could have been, without the robotic play.

Foden was sensational last season, how good do you want him to be? Grealish just isn’t the same level.

Pep didn’t exactly stifle Messi, who had his highest ever goalscoring season under him.

I actually enjoy the footy. I think the game has come a long way. On the competitive side though? I get what you mean. Once the financial disparity reared it's ugly head things haven't recovered. I like that more teams like Forest, Newcastle, Brighton, Aston Villa are competing. I think there are more "good" teams. Hopefully there can be more "great" teams soon. And hopefully we break that barrier.

7 games left and any of the top 9 could feasibly finish with a CL spot. It’s arguable the most competitive the league has been outside of the relegation battle and the league winners.

I think the idea it’s become boring is mainly because of the media concentration on the so called top 6. They have been boring. But Villa, Bournemouth, Forest have all put on some outstanding displays.

I read today that that there had been an average of 2.94 goals per game this year, which puts it ahead of every single year from the 90s, the 00s, and the 2010s - so statistically it’s not boring.

They cant, at least not around here.
Most of the people I know (or how I go if I do) is families who've had season tickets for ages and will give/sell me a ticket.
You can still get baseball tickets day of fairly cheap because they play a million games a season. I won't pay in to fenway out of principle any more.
Occasionally I'll go out to Worchester to see their AAA team.
USL is introducing pro/rel and there's a new team in Portland Maine I might check out
But yea, Pats, Bruins, Celtics cost an absolute fortune especially if you have kids.
I still persist with the Revs about once or twice a season but christ it's grim.
I went to the Everton Arsenal game a few seasons ago but dont think I'm going to bother going to Atlanta this season. $75 for a friendly is nuts.
Unfortunately, BMD will head that way in a few seasons.
Get everyone in and comfy then start jacking up the prices.
It was actually the Celtics I was looking into seeing. I didn't notice your avatar!

Edit: the bar I went to was called The Tam. It was a decent night out!
