Christ, 6 years go by quickly. Either way he came from struggling to being world beater literally over night. One year makes f all difference to the point tbh

He didn't really struggle tho.. they just never won when he played lol... didn't lose every game tho.. sometimes things like that happen in football... weren't we unbeaten with Gibson in the team for ages? I remember seeing bale at st Mary's against derby.... in the championship.... you could tell he had "it" everyone thought Walcott would be the best of the bunch chambers, oxlade, lallana and bale.... always told my saints mate that bale would be England's left back for 10years ... this is obviously before I found out he's welsh... and moved to LW :) he's now the worlds 2nd best RW.... but for me he always looked the best... Walcott and oxlade relied on pace... bale oozed technique ( and only now do I realise he is as quick as anyone else in football pretty much)

I don't know mate.
Maybe, the vociferous minority find it hard to accept the majority's opinion?
That should be the same for any player, by the way but, it just seems that the 'Ross' situation divides opinion (85% versus 15%), the 15% being the vociferous minority.
So they should just be quiet and accept it? Nazi Germany stuff this.

*I'm a massive Barkley fan by the way.

How do you reconcile that statement with the fact that he was the top scoring & assisting English midfielder domerstically last season.

No idea yet directly involved with 22 goals it's easy to score & Assist isn't it a lot harder to track runners & make tackles. Haha your delusion is strong

Some of those assists where giving it to lukaku on the touch line... him beating 5 players and scoring.... giving the ball to Naismith 35 yards from goal and Naismith finishing from 25-30 yards... a few corners and a couple of miss hit shots that found a player.... hardly defence splitting passes are they? The fact is..... his impact on the game is zero when we are defending.... so we have to build our whole team around him ...ei play two DM... now some players are worth doing this for... Ronaldo,Messi, ibra, silva, be bryune, lukaku.... players that produce so much attacking play that it out weighs their total lack of defending... Barkley doesn't produce enough to warrant doing nothing off the ball and misplacing passes in dangerous areas. It's that simple... add in the fact that's he's a blue? He should be the hardest working player on the pitch and the most passionate... he's meant to be living the dream...but most of the time he walks around with a look on his face that he's trying to figure out what 6 x 3.147086378 is

Did you know that in Germany they call motorways 'autobahns?'

I will tweet this to Ross as he enjoys interesting facts and I like to support him anyway I can.

COYB!

Where did I presume to know more about management techniques coaching or business ownership than you.

Did you only see anything in last nights game that Barkley isn't capable off.

Last Christmas sky had a half season special programme on & carragher who is very underhand & biased against us put him in the team ahead of payet.

He was also on the shortlist for young player of the year last year.

He has been poor ever since the West Ham game. It's far too early to write him off yet.

Hardly Nazi Germany stuff when a forum member asks others to support a player, rather than than just slag him off constantly (unlike other players you ask courtesy for)?

Then you get this kind of post, literally trying to undo things he has done ...... -

I believe that we should allow all sides of the discussion to have a voice.

Unless we disagree with them.

That's how this works right?

Listen if you're all for people typing "yes I agree with that" then good for you, you'll fit in well here for years to come :)

so some ex player that I assume isn't good enough to be a manager puts him in a fictional team and we can use that to measure success? Anyone that would have Barkley over payet is blind.... payet is what Barkley maybe could be if he worked hard, got lucky and everything went his way.

Sky as everyone knows is scripted and has agendas... they love to build up players and smash them down... andy gray was cheering on gerrard on sky... heard him on al jazera? Richard keys " liverpool lost at white hart lane 1-0"

Gray " good" and starts laughing ...

Sky just have to talk ball awks just to fill their channels.

And last nights game from what I read was terrible ... so because Barkley is capable of playing in a shocking boring 0-0 that means he's good? And actually there is something in that game he's not capable of....DEFENDING, holding position, keeping the ball, working hard to press, challenging for headers etc
