Is it time to panic?

Panic about relegation? No. Panic about the future direction of the club? Yes.
It's where we are now as a club, never mind the future.
Not so long back a player like the calibre like Maddison wouldn't be jibbing us off for Leicester. We were relevant, a word I know what I mean to describe us, then but too many false dawns have tainted us. Players talk and must know what the reality is.

Panic, by necessity, requires a degree of energy and urgency.

We are passed that stage now, it's all fatalistic resignation.

That is the most damning thing about the Moshiri era. For all the money and the promises, our on the field performances have been so consistently poor and the prospect of achieving anything of merit has drifted so far away, that I think much of the fanbase are beyond worried and just simply apathetic.

I know I am anyway. It used to hurt watching us lose but with so little fight on the field and in the dugout, it's inevitable that the same lack of passion will seep into the fanbase.

Thousands of words and promises will appear ahead of the next game.

We will kick off against West Ham, and after 10 minutes, it will revert to the usual sterile and inept rubbish.

No need for panic boys, we're nailed on for 8th place -- have just checked this season's results against last season's and replacing Villa away and Sheff Utd at home with Fulham and Huddersfield respectively our points total is the same as last season's. :)

That's a weight off!
