Is it just me or...

I'll go ahead and address everyone's first thought on this one. Yes, Landon Donovan did have that big an impact, but he is FAR more the exception than the rule on this (and the team was returning to fitness right at the same time he started - lots of things came together with his start that really did bouy the club).

I'm still hoping we bring in some fresh blood, don't get me wrong, but I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm going to support the team as best I can whether we sign anyone or not.

We need fresh blood mate, because we don't have a massive squad. And this season we've let out Vaughan, Yak, Yobo and Pienaar, and only brought in Beckford. 2 senior strikers (one still trying to make it in the PL, the other incredibly injury-prone), no replacement for Pienaar and only 3 senior CBs isn't strong enough to say we don't need new signings.

the days are too short,
the weather is ****ty,
we're skint once again,
but we did beat City...

we're mostly agreed
the board has to go,
but when you follow Everton,
you just never know.

just when it's darkest,
we could skin them alive,
our defence a rock,
our strikers could thrive,

the Russian could leave here
with tears in his eyes,
as we find the belief
that's been in disguise

Hibbo could knock in
a screamer from thirty
while Rooney is once more caught
doing the dirty

we watch and we wonder
and put on the blue
you suffer like me,
and I suffer like you.

COYB!!

if we beat chelski tomorrow the whole mood will change, keep the faith, well untill 3pm anyway. :):)

I love all this. I love the fact i no longer have any nails left to bite, and now i am down to biting skin off my knuckles.
It's ace being an Evertonian. I can look forward to living to the ripe old age of 50 if nothing changes.

A win tomorrow doesn't hide that we have no money to improve the squad and that we have to sell-to-buy

This. It wouldn't be so bad if we pruned Yak, Yobo and Pienaar to make way for Anichebe, Duffy and Gueye, but we know that we're actually going to go with the bare bones and square pegs in round holes.
