Just a thought here, because Rodders reminds me so much of the late, great Bobby Moore.

No, Moore didn't score goals and stuff. But he picked out a pass, had tremendous anticipation, and had a swagger which Jack seems to have.

Moore started when he was 17 and didn't do so bad, so what are people afraid of? Is "Is he ready" just a way of saying "erm, dunno where he fits in"? Thing is, when you got caviar, you fit everything else round that. Don't you???

I'm going back to my room now. The nurses like us to be in our chairs by coffee time.

Is is frightening that Rodwell, who is amazing, isn't considered to be in our stongest starting XI. Just shows the strength in our squad now. When Jack is on the field though, i want him in an attacking role, he has too much natural ability further up the field to play in a defensive role, for me anyway

Id agree with you mate, his strength and tenacity has really come on in the last 6 months.

Aye I hope Jack starts against Blackburn (as he did last time we played them on the opening day). He'll ******* fist the lot of them. Right up to the elbow.

That's my point, though. The "greats" don't need to be in a nursery. They seem to have this gift of learning throughout each individual game. What does he have to do to make him first name of the team sheet? Give carnals to Davey?

yes ur right but its a good not so much pressure for him to be top dog, let him get on with learing his football

He should be playing in an attacking role imo. As he gets older he'll gradually drop back like Lothar Mathaus. He can be anything he wants

For me Rodwell and especially Coleman should easily be in our starting XI and only Moyes' blind loyalty to older players will keep them out and possibly make them unsettled.
