On sky sports news moyes talking about Baines being potentially injured for man city and says....

At least we have gibbo and hibbo back which helps us out a little. So hopefully not injured again.

I was at the game and both me and my bro watched him hobble around for a good few mins before being subbed. I thought he had definitely picked up a knock again. Hopefully just a bit of a sore one and was took off as a precaution.

Gibbo isn't injured. He did take a knock, but he went off due to lacking in match fitness. He felt that he could give a little bit extra, Moyes made the call so he has plenty in the tank for the weekend. Moyes clearly has a good level of trust in Hitzlesperger, as in the past, he probably would've let Gibbo struggle on.

He has not had a re-occurence, and is not feeling any strain or knock today, outside of normal.

Just so you's know.

People didnt seriously expect Gibson to play for 90mins last night did they? Haha. Went off because he hasnt played Premier League football for 2months. Simple.

He's been guilty of letting that happen (leaving struggling players on) a number of times.

Indeed, Gosling being possibly the worst example. I do think though, that him not doing that shows that he is starting to feel a little more confident in the depth of some areas.

I'd like to think so too. But if Gibson hadn't been coming back off a couple of months out, I wouldn't have been confident Moyes would have made the change.

That is kind of my point though, Gibson was only subbed due to lack of match fitness, he took a knock, but it wasn't enough to cause him to be subbed. Moyes was concerened at the knock, but as Gibson said he was fine, he carried on. The plan from the beginning was for Gibbo to give his all for 60/70 minutes, Gibson wanted to continue past that, but Moyes made the decision to sub him and leave plenty in the tank for the weekend, feeling taht we would be at no loss, performance wise, with Hitzlepserger in his place for the remainder.

Mate... I think everyone's aware that after 2 months out the plan would of been to take him off after 60/70 mins. People are not asking if he's injured because he came off, it's because at that point of his planned sub Gibson was hobbling about for a good while clearly in pain. An injury can of happened at the same time as he was due to come off you know... Just because he was coming off anyway doesn't make him immune to injury.

Not sure if you we're at game or not but on tv and live looked like completely different situations. On tv quick hobble before his planned withdrawal....at game clearly immobile and in pain for a good few mins before planned withdrawal.

Anyway it's sounding by moyes comments that he's ok thankfully but I understand completely why people are asking the question, especially if they were at game.

I'm only giving you the info I have lad. I'm not going off what I saw at the game, I'm going off what I know. I'm only trying to put peoples minds at ease. Not sure if you understood what I was trying to say.
