Was a vast improvement on Walter Smith, which in reality is like saying he's the world's tallest midget. Yes, we qualified for Europe a few times, but by the same token he had a deplorable record away at the scab six sides. Didn't begrudge him leaving for United, but then he turned my stomach with his "better for their careers" overtures to Baines and Fellaini. Was an abject failure at United and Real Sociedad, was Sunderland's Captain E.J. Smith and didn't pull down any trees in his first stint with West Ham.

David Moyes did a great job for our mighty Blues and, with a bit more bottle maybe, could have given us a trophy. The guy brought some affordable gems to Everton such as Seamus Coleman and Tim Cahill... mind you, he also told Bill Kenwright that he would be signing the future England No1 in Richard Wright, a goalkeeper you wouldn't trust to read signs or install loft insulation :D

His teams were always fit, hard-working, and fought until the final whistle and, in mho, we've not had a manager who has really produced that in our players since he left. The only 'turd in the punchbowl' with David Moyes, for me, was the manner in which he left the Club. I still have plenty of time for the guy though. So I'll go with 'borderline legend', if that's ok?

No. He did a very good job (up against it) and will always have the respect from the club but no.

Kendall, Dean, Harvey, Nyarko, Ball, Southall, Lawton, Royle - Legends.
