They wouldn't target Trump, that is full scale war for sure, looks like Trump wants a War with these tweets, I can't see Iran backing down and not hitting a US target, probably by proxy and Iraq looks a likely place.

Everyone said it would cause world war 3 when trump got involved and in both cases it had the opposite affect. Russia stopped what they were doing and North Korea even went to seek peace with the southern korea.

It will be the same again, instead of world war 3 we will get something much tamer and more in line with making peace with them long term.

If they take out Trump or (more likely) a close relative or friend as an act of revenge, I think it’s extremely questionable whether a declaration of war would be voted through. There would be a really strong argument that he’d brought it on himself.

However a mass casualty attack in the Gulf, against an embassy or an attack against civilians on the continental US would almost guarantee it; it would unify the US whereas an attack on Trump / an associate would probably divide it.

I doubt much will happen. We have two bellicose opponents shouting at each other. The USA was right to take this guy out after their Embassy was attacked. Iran knows it will be destroyed if it attacks the USA. Everyone just needs a way to back off now and save face....

The Iranians have moved a long way since the Iran/Contra US arms deal. The US wets itself with excitement when these things happen but after that they invariably end up with their tails between their legs. This will be no different that all the times before - create an incident, send in the military, get bogged down and scarper home having caused mass death and destruction on the way. The US loses 'wars' constantly and creates an even bigger enemy. The UK will follow the US as it's tied it's apron strings to Trump's trade war with the world. Which is the real reason the Johnson/Farage wing of the establishment wanted to leave the EU. To side with the US or the EU in trade war battles that are all too evident and as history has shown trade wars lead to shooting wars that bring in more and more countries on different sides of the barricades. Attacking pro Iranian forces in Iraq is real enough to try and halt their growing 'influence' in the region, and it is also a proxy attack on Russia, China, Hezbollah. The US have opened a can of worms in the region that has inflamed anti US feelings in the area and that genie ain't going back in the bottle. But the US cannot stop itself as it needs to be seen to be aggressive to attempt to protect it's proxy allies and aggressors in the region, Israel and Saudi Arabia. This wont end well for Trump. It may put the impeachment into the middle pages, and off the airwaves temporarily, and he may hope that being engaged in 'military action' may save his bacon. But the hostility in the middle east will grow and grow.

Then he went back on the peaceful approach and we are back to square one.North Korea, like Iran were keen to come in from the cold, Obama/Trump welcomed them and then Trump backed out of both deals> he has also continued to sanction Russia despite vocally making friends.He is a nut job, dishonest psycho who is going to do unimaginable harm to a lot of people. The sooner he is taken out the better, free party at my house the day it happens.
