Because there really aren't that many countries that have 11 players of premier league caliber (I'm Canadian and I don't think Canada has a single one right now....even the US would struggle). In fact there are several players from Spain and Germany who likely aren't involved that would walk straight into our team.

Yeah, if he continues to play at this level the rest of the season, I don't see how he can't be in the England squad for Russia. There are some atrocious names in that squad

Alex Denny is a late addition to England u18, well deserved he used to play regularly at this age. The interesting one for me is Michael Collins , 17 , first year u18s who has at this age opted for Ireland.
