Everton's players will face even more competition for a place in the coming weeks.
The Blues are hoping to welcome Tim Cahill and James Vaughan back from long-term injury when the forthcoming international break is over.
Neither Vaughan (shoulder) nor Cahill (foot) have featured since pre-season. Thomas Gravesen also looks likely to be back in the fray soon.
"We are going to have some more selection dilemmas in the coming weeks because we are going to have Tim Cahill and James Vaughan back in the coming weeks - maybe just after the international break," said manager David Moyes.
"Thomas Gravesen will come into that category as well and we will need them."
The current form of James McFadden and Joleon Lescott, two of the goalscorers in Kharkiv in the week, is also impressing Moyes - as well as giving him a further headache.
"Joleon is having quite some season, but we have said all along I don't think there is a better left-back in the country when he plays there. He is a centre-half but we decided on Thursday to alter things a little bit and he has shown his versatility.
"If he keeps coming up with the goals then it is great for us. Not only was it a good goal but great adjustment to finish it off.
"I have to say, he galloped on at left-back, he was a force and he is also a very good defender.
"James McFadden's form is such that we nearly expect him to score when he plays because we are confident in him and he is confident in himself.
"He missed the early part of pre-season but he is now starting to regain his fitness along with his confidence."
