...I've kept on saying about the role of the Club Doctor in setting out the strategy regarding that prevention and treatment of injuries. I've also said Everton are old school, old blue tie and the article attached supports my view:

Irvine was appointed after his father passed away. His father was his predecessor and Irvine was only 2 years into his GP training. Amazingly, he's been allowed to run the medical facility of the club into the modern era. I understand he's a lovely man but I also understand he's not very efficient. The abiding memory is when Bolasie suffered his serious injury and Irvine ran on the pitch and picked up the wrong leg.

Hopefully the club bring in somebody proper.
