I honestly don't know anyone who pushes a scouse identity on all of merseyside. It's people from outside Liverpool who throw us all in the same bin, and that's just a pure lack of knowledge.

Going back to your original post there though, I personally would consider someone from Kirkby or Huyton a scouser for example - but obviously not St Helens or Formby.

Perhaps I'm projecting a Scouse identity onto others there myself, but I'm not sure it's wise to tell a Kirkby native they're not a scouser, personally.
