Mate, lighten up. We have a difference of opinion on a footballer. It's got nothing to do with a generations of fans, fifa, matt smith or anything else.

He's quick. He's direct. He can beat a man. He would improve us no end in games where we will look to counter-attack.

He is a typical winger in his attitude ie struggles for consistency and motivation. Just like McGeady, Mirrallas and Atsu. Ribery, Robben and CR are probably the only wingers in world football who aren't inconsistent...you can want them all you want but we ain't getting them.

If you don't agree then that's your right, but don't kid yourself that you know better than anyone else because you've not realised this isn't the 80's anymore.

Exactly, it's an opinion and this is a discussion. Unfortunately the only time he looks good is against teams that don't sit back and give him the freedom to run into, hence he's found his niche. It's why he's done nothing all season, think the palace fans refer to him as a Sky camera player

He looked good against us because he had the freedom of the pitch to run into, that's why he does nothing in the majority of other games. The same against the RS last year when Rodgers decided to go for glory and Johnson was on his last legs.

IMO he his one of the worst footballers in the Prem, if you're happy with that level of footballer at this club it highlights my initial opinion if how far our fan base have declined.

All going well here until the highlighted above.

So who do you think we can afford and who would be acceptable for you? (Paul Power has retired by the way mate)

You do know that Paul Power wasn't a winger, right??

2 points;

1) it doesn't matter who i want, i am not the manager; but when you have a team that has gone quite far last year and is loaded with international players, adding someone like Bolasie is a massive step backwards
2) accepting someone just because they're are available, regardless of talent, is just ridiculous. Because he's cheap and is a winger that means we should sign him.

we badly need a proven cb. Distin and Alcaraz are just not good enough now, Stones is still developing and jags seems to be lacking a bit of confidence imo.

hahahahahaha
Good grief, I picked a random player from the 86/87 season mate - chill.

So you are judging my opinion that he would improve the team and yet you offer no alternative yourself as a better example of someone "good enough". Im not asking you start negotiations with a player, I am just interested in an example you could give of someone worthy of the mighty Everton Football Club.
We have made a step backward, agreed, and for me its a combination of the back 4/5 making stupid errors often and the fact that we have no pace in the side. Teams pin us back because they know that there isnt a chance that we can spring them on the counter. We cant persist in just punting it long to Lukaku as we did against West Ham. Don't you agree that we need pace? A Deulofeu-type of player?

What are you on about here? I think he would improve us. Not because he's available, because he probably isnt, and not regardless of talent because he is clearly talented (in my opinion).[/QUOTE]

he cant hide now needs to back the manager or sack him staying the same isnt an option, saying that he isnt daft he will be looking to save his investment at least,
Can't sack him after just extending his contract after 1 season. Needs to show faith unless we hit the bottom 3 towards the end of season.

needs to get a few in it would do us the world of good
if they are panic buys like more Wigan players and more British dross then no thanks. Rather wait until the summer and rebuild with quality footballers then. Spending little amounts too much here and there on average footballers that won't get us anywhere is, well, not going to get us anywhere...
