In The Hunt?

When I first heard the speculation (i.e. bollocks) that he was being linked with us, I wasn't too thrilled only because I felt that we needed a central midfielder more.

While that opinion hasn't changed, I've really warmed up to the idea of Hunt playing for Everton. Obviously he's a talented player and has a Pienaar-like work rate and can score. But more importantly, I think he'd fit right in to our dressing room and team work ethic and "all for one" mentality.

If we were to acquire Hunt (and it'll be one heck of a lot more than 2.5M to pry him away from Reading), I'd be very happy.

Fairly tidy player. As TX said, would fit in well here. And of course, we don't acutually have any wingers (excluding VDM of course) at the moment, so I'd be pleased if we signed him.

Seen him a lot for Ireland id compare him to a cahill on the wing, a nuisence, who never gives you a moment peace, then bang, back of the net! He got another two against spurs at the weekend!

He certainly would be a interesting buy, we say we are looking for CM, but to be honest we just need ML or MR just as much as CM, and when we have pacey MR & ML, which could cover lack of quality in CM, beside we have Cahill do the attacking in the center, I would love to have him around as well!

a possible midfield forerunner for kissock, its all about the barnet.

[Poor language removed] hell, BBC three right this moment, a piglet (suckling pig) has just been zapped and bloodlet, i appreciate what the point is, but its [Poor language removed] grim, and the sheer volume of blood and the twitching... good lord.

he reminds me a lot of mickey thomas, in that he doesn't look like a good footballer , but he is ! he has a great engine, sees a pass and has an eye for goal. lets hope that he doesnt emulate mickey thomas and get some dodgy tenners from speke sell them to the apprentices and end up doing time ! we all know that footballers do not get much money and have to make ends meet somehow

still if it came to that or no bacon buttys I'd be the one doing the zappin' and a bloodlettin'.

I think hunts a bit overrated, but I like his hair.

I can understand why people like him, he's got a good engine, all that business, but is he good enough to IMPROVE the team? Does he have that bit of class that will take us up a notch - in my opinion, no. He reminds me of a Simon Davies or a Kilbane, he has his moments (although for Davies these were few and far between, not much better for Kilbane) but he's just not good enough for me. He certainly doesn't jusify a £5m price tag on what I've seen. Personally, I just don't like him, he's a horrible little pikey [Poor language removed] who has a snide streak and snaps people after the ball is gone, and if we wanted that, we'd still have Olivier Dacourt at the club...
