In praise of Martin Atkinson......

I am still speechless to explain how he saw a red card in the Rodwell challenge, other than Suarez's Oscar winning performance. If he never does another EFC game it still will not make up for killing the game off when we clearly the better team

Maybe he was watching Suarez expecting him to stamp on Rodwell, and because the ball was so far away from Suarez he completely missed rodwell getting the ball?

Not trying to defend him, just a theory mentioned to me

he is Clive Thomas's lovechild, got to be. Anyway else at the famous Bryan Hamilton disallowed goal game?
I was also at the Graham Poll disallowed goal derby game. When we gonna get a break?

All the stills show Atkinson ONLY watching Suarez which means he wasn't doing his job properly and was reduced to guessing whether to award the card - now if he has an agenda with Everton after the Man U game that's a different call altogether but he's plainly not fit to referee at this level if he can't even watch what's going on.

If he was only watching Suarez, it's still not a red. There really is no explanation for what happened.
