Starting Eleven

Simple thread really, one thats been done hundreds of times before and one that'll be done plenty again. Right now, if every one was fit - who would be your typical starting eleven?

Mine;

Howard

Neville - Yobo - Jagielka - Baines

Heitinga

Pienaar- Fellaini - Arteta - Bilyaletdinov

Saha

Against your more physical side, I would go;

Howard

Neville - Yobo - Jagielka - Baines

Heitinga

Anichebe- Fellaini - Arteta - Pienaar

Saha

Our squad isnt really suited to 4-4-2. Even if it was, we don't have two strikers to rely on week in, week out. As quality of a stiker Yakubu is, Saha is better and I think is more suited to our system. When things aren't going well, Yakubu can look static, with no movement and it can have a knock on effect to the rest of the side.

Opinions?

Tim Howard

Phil Neville
Phil Jagielka
Sylvain Distin
Leighton Baines

Steven Pienaar
Johnny Heitinga
Mikel Arteta
Diniyar Bilyaletdinov

Louis Saha
Aiyegbeni Yakubu

I think Lucas Neill would be in with a shout but we haven't seen enough of him as of yet. I'm not sure if I'd use Heitinga in midfield or Neville, it depends how Heitinga develops in his new role. The signs are promising though.

With Arteta in midfield we'd be able to control and dictate games, I think this would make Saha and Yakubu alot more effective as a partnership. Players who can get the ball into there feet, players who can see there runs. In terms of link up play and creativity in the final third, they offer so much more than Cahill and Fellaini.

Only joking obviously, but you started it Danny having Big Vic anywhere near a starting line up when everyone else is fit!

I think Toccy's line up is spot on, though realistically I think Moyes will stick with either Fellaini or Cahill for Yak/Saha.

Give Heitinga a go at CB. Rodwell plays DM. More speed in the MF and Fellaini can easily hold his own.
