Today i was watching the game against Bolton again, and my 4 yr old daughter was watching it with me. Now obviously i had the sound up as loud as i possibly could, just to try and get of the Goodison atmosphere in my living room haha. Now she has watched games before with me, but when the Arteta free kick went in she looked at me and said something that melted my heart. She said "Daddy i got shivers when teta (what she calls him) made the net move then." Wow, she gets what its like to be a toffee, and shes only 4. My mrs doesn't get it at all, and i said to her that's it now me and the baby have a connection you and her will never have.
Shivers when we score, just the same as her dad then lol.
As pointless this post will be to some, i just wanted to share it. And i also remember how old i was when Everton ran through my blood. I was 5 when it hit me. Can anyone else remember when they know Everton had chosen them also?
Cheers :D

I can remember my exact moment. At a rumelows cup match at Sheffield united. Brian Deane put them 2-0 and my heart simply caved in and wanted to cry.
Pat nevin then scored with a shot from the tightest angle I'd ever seen a goal go in from (my dad still claims it was a cross) and I had hope.

We lost 2-1 of course.

Not too much has changed!! (y)

I was a regular at 5 . Still at it .
I feel you , brother .

Fantastic when they "get it" at such an early age.

My 6 year old and 5 year old not only know that we LOVE Everton, but that we HATE Liverpool.

Great stuff. It must make you so proud.

My earliest memory of being an Evertonian is watching a merseyside derby when i was about 5, and crying my eyes out when the shi*e scored a late goal. It was that moment i realised that i was an evertonain, before that i didnt even care about football.

Well in mate. Must be a hugely nice feeling.

I cant remember being chosen. I'd always supported Everton, but I didn't really start taking an active interest in football till i was about 12 or 13. Then I was really hooked.

Didn't get the choice....House was blue and white and called goodison (and still is).....My dad took me to my first match when I was about 6 with my wooden stool, so i could see.

Nice story that mate,
Think I was 5 when i started supporting Everton, whilst watching games with my dad.

My boy watches match of the day and the footy without me now - he puts it on over and over to see Everton!

My Uncle Chris.

Massive, massive Blue and Champion among Men.

Converted me from birth I reckon. My old Dad City supporter never forgave him.

Nice post, cannot remember ever not supporting the toffees. My earliest memories of watching Everton are watching on TV with my dad. We didn't have a TV until I was 8 so it was the '66 cup final that stands out for me.

I think I can trump all of youse...

Jan 3 1988 Everton v Forest live on BBC.

Wayne Clarke nets the only goal of the game - and back home my 7 month old son says his first word as the ball hits the back of the net.. "Dadda"

I was at the game so I didn't witness it but my missus told me what happened. We go to the game together now. (y)
