I’d like to see them too, but.. there is an awful lot of money on the line.Well, whilst it would be great to finish as high up the table as we can it's no longer paramount that we do - other than we get a few extra £m's for doing so - as any Euro qualification possibility is now all but gone. So I would give Illy a late season breather and bring in the fringe players like Dibling and Alcaraz to give them an opportunity to try and establish themselves and prove their worth to us at PL level. Pre season friendlies are not the time to do it as they are used only to get players up to match fitness ahead of a new season and a couple of late season competitive games - given what's still at stake for some of our remaining opponents - would be perfect for Moyes to assess those players abilities ahead of next season's campaign.

I understand your point Macca but there's also a lot of money invested in these fringe players for them to be sitting on their backsides proving nothing.I’d like to see them too, but.. there is an awful lot of money on the line.
It’s likely we drop to 13th if we lose at the weekend - Forest and Leeds could finish above us yet! So I think for the good of the club, it’s important we get a top half finish.
I agree with that. The context gives the reasons why he's hindered at times in upping that production, especially his assists, but he has had quite a few chances recently to up his goal output and he only has himself to blame for not doing that. He's an absolute joy to watch and as good with the ball at his feet as anyone in the league, but it's fair to say that 7 non-penalty goals and assists in both seasons so far isn't really enough of an end product. Obviously there's context to that too, but I don't think it should be too controversial to say that a key attacking player really needs to be producing more than 2 goals (including a penalty) and 2 assists in their last 20 games if you want to be achieving anything.
Him and Gana since AFCON. Kind of understandable on both counts why they were rushed back (IMO) and why they’ve been less effective (plus Gana is getting old in footballer terms).Hes bang out of form IMO.
