2025/26 Iliman Ndiaye

Illy is a match winner, probably the most skilful player in the league. What lets him down is not himself but the rest of the team. Such a good player needs to be involved and only can he be involved if his team mates bring him into the game. OK, the full back on either side cannot support him enough and that brings his game down. Get him more involved or we are wasting him.

He's brilliant at dribbling but his assists and end product stats are rubbish.
Last night showed the perfect example of how one game can completely change narratives over players though.

Everyone was glazing Doku yet before last night his end product was worse than Ndiaye this season and he's playing for a way better side. He scores two worldies and Ndiaye misses his chances and the narrative is Doku is the best winger ever and Ndiaye is the worst.

If the school of thought that he might fancy a move should we spurn a glorious opportunity to get into Europe is correct, he fluffed his lines last night.

That was the perfect audition and he blew it.

A CL team will expect better output than last night, that last night is one that gets you riding the bench for a long time.

Everton fans always the same, let's moan at a player who by his standards misses a chance he normally would bury, whats the next chant oh let's sell him?

Jeepers he is the only world class player we have, watch the match and see when he gets given the ball the same when Grealish was playing he gets left to do it on his own and make something happen with zero support whilst trying to beat 3 defenders as teams know he is our only danger
