Astonishing article about what was said. Maybe a little late to the party, but what the [Poor language removed] have the supporters done? If in fact the supporters have done anything.

This can't happen. The more I think about it, the more I am starting to lean towards my heart.

the head does it just as well... I've quite deliberately moderated myself on the matter for fear of sounding like a stuck record... but it's starting to go a bit wahoonie shaped:

the way the debate has been conducted,
the way options have been summarily dismissed without a proper conclusive optioneering exercise,
the random and inconsistent soundbites from the club ("what’s that Keith, 75000 seats? cor that’d be great"),
the way the price is now spiralling from 50- 70/80 - 100 - 150M.
the disturbing news about the parking / transportation challenge just not being met,
the emergent Planning issues (not helped by the 75,000 capacity statement)
The one way exclusivity agreement, whereby we couldn’t meet with LCC, but Knowsley could get all cosy with a competitor bid headed by Asda’s (which, would actually appear to be a better offer for Kirkby)

all of this, quite frankly scares the crap out of me... perhaps the Kirkby Stadium IS deliverable, whether it is deliverable under current management however, is questionable.

Not keen on the idea of leaving our heritage anymore.

When I see Newcastle redeveloping there ground. I have been to St James Park, its no different that Goodison. Plus all this bollocks about footprint! Christ, half the houses around that ground need to be pulled down. If there willing to pull Goodison down they can get rid of the [Poor language removed] around it. The Wilmslow can be built into the stadium if need be.

Have to ask ourselves this question. Do they want us to move to save money? What if money was no object could we stay at Goodison? If so, why are the board not looking to bring someone on who has pots of cash to save the situation. Its not like were not becoming more of an attractive investment.

to be fair, it was quite a well written and impartial account.

as to the points raised during the AGM itself, with one notable exception (seized upon by the journo's as it made good copy) they stuck almost exclusively to the facts... some of which are now getting worrying.

Well do you think that this site as a group should do something? I remember reading that Danny was going to talk with Wyness.

If Im being honest mate, I would much rather stay at Goodison but theres no way we could afford to regenerate the ground.

Yeah but should that be the reason we lose our heritage? I doubt there are many clubs who have made the move who would not prefer to be back where they were.

Its the place where we won trophy after trophy in mid 80's. It was the ground where Dixie scored his 60th goal of the season. Pele and Eusebio played there during the world cup.

There has to be a way. If Liverpool can afford to get a stadium like they are getting, why can't we. Why should we suffer? This whole safety certificate bollocks is just scare mongering people into accepting it. The whole debacle over the Kirkby Project, the artist impressions painting things in glory.

Its not guaranteed, but what is guaranteed at the moment is the feeling of being in a ground that has history. They can completely knock it down and build it up again, but its the area, the sacred land.

I just don't see it anywhere else. Not Scotty road, not Kirkby.

I know I may have u-turned here, but what are we going to end up like?

I think anyone would rather stay at Goodison (including the current board) if it were feasible.

If you haven't already, Ghost (or anyone else with a subscription), you should watch the 10 minute post-AGM interview with Kenwright on Everton TV. I found him pretty convincing there (and I certainly don''t count myself as someone who is uncritical of him).

So because he says so thats it?

If anyone has ever been to Goodison they will know, its no more tight than St James Park. And if they removed them houses that surround the ground and that school. Would it be so bad?

My missus Primary School was knocked down for [Poor language removed] Polish people to live in, and it was nearly 75 years old.

KEIOC make me want to move to Kirkby.

Its one of them isnt it, I'd rather see us win trophies Kirkby than be [Poor language removed] at Goodison.

Well KEIOC are not after us staying at Goodison, they just want us in the city. But they are a micky mouse outfit. We need to represent on a different level.
