If we had a new stadium, re-development.

I think the problem with the redevlopment is that it would'nt generate the sort of revenue we need.

We dont really need more seats, we need more corporate hospitality and the opportunity to make money on non-match days, I think the club envisaged somewhere with meeting rooms and conference suites that would be hired out on a day to day basis to businesses in Liverpool and the surrounding area.

I think that no matter what we do with Goodison, none of the redelopment options will give us more space for events on non-match days. Thats why redevelopment will never happen.

A bolt on won't achieve increased income, but I really am convinced that a re-development, and I mean a re-build would do. But the rub is that a re-build would cost anything from £250m upwards, and thats the problem. Billionaires don't pay for stadia.

Want.

Or similar. And a bit smaller. Charge a fiver for under 18's and over 60's. Sorted.

I'm with you mate, although I think the main reason there are so many empty seats are to do with lots of the seats having an obstructed view.

On a side issue, if we were to build a new stadium, I'd want it exactly like Ibrox, Cologne or The Westfeldstadion. Not a bowel shape. Capacity of 55,000. With a krispy kremes donut stand.

you said it, best doughnuts i have ever ate

The only way to truly enjoy a Krispy Kreme is while they are hot, like freshly cooked. In the states, the Krispy Kreme shops cut the light on when they are fresh from the oven. Best excuse ever to get fat. End of.

Like a moth to a flame. (An obese moth who is crawling to the flame because he is too fat to fly.)

what is the current situation in this matter, is there drawings of any sort of that possible new stadium. or is it just talk

Kenwright was talking about the stadium situation in the interview with the BBC. Nothing new, just the old re-hash. Just made me ponder the hypothetical questions I stated in the opening of the thread.

yes, im sure many are wondering the same, im quite sure it would be full. 50,000 sounds good.
but im sure some have made more reliable calculations about that

Definitely spot on, mate!
Not a bowel shape, but an old fashioned stadium (like the ones you've just mentioned)!
Can't stand all these new stadium!

Tim.

PS:
Stadio Luigi Ferraris is a fantastic stadium, but holds only aprox. 36.000
45-50k is enough for Everton. We have to avoid empty seats!!
