If Moyes repeats the same thing next week I may commit suicide

Is it Moyes' fault we were forced to make 3 subs, and then sub one of the subs off again? NO!

Is it his fault he has no money? NO!

All Evertonians have been saying "play 4-4-2, play 4-4-2" and now he has, and we lost, you are giving him stick.

Hmmm....
That wasn't really 4-4-2, it was closer to a 4-2-2-2 with two defensive midfielders. That formation requires one or both def mids to be able to drive forward with the ball and pick out a pass, Neville can't do this and Heitinga can only do it via a long ball, the formation was never going to work.

But who exactly?

We played better than them until Osman went off and then zero creativity. It was so painful to watch Distin being not only our best defender but our fuking best attacker. He was the only one who actually ran at their defence.

Gueye could be good but he can't see beyond two yards at the moment and always has his back too goal. The game needed Barkley but for whatever reason (it can't just be defensive - he brought on Gueye) Moyes refuses to play him.

I think on our bench Moyes brought on the three best and complete players. I personally don't believe that team is better than mid-table and I think tonight it was the players that lost this game. It wasn't tactical shortcomings it was just a crap team. Think of that team that finished. Beyond Distin and Baines who actually deserves a place at Everton? Who played beyond a four out of ten in the second half?

Its horrible without Fellaini and even worse without Arteta, I believe like you that we need creativity in the centre (and that Nev should held at gunpoint to stop him entering Goodison) but we don't have the personnel and I think need a creative mid more than a striker, to open up both flanks rather than rely on Baines to craft his only way down the flank.

Aye, good points.

I think I'd rather have seen a 4-2-3-1 tonight mate. You don't need a playmaker at CM in that formation if you can have a bit of guile in the advanced 3. We played great footie against Swansea with that kind of set up and actually had Donovan to throw into the mix. Ossie central, Donovan right and then Gueye left or Bily even. A bit more guile really.

We have limited options but we still have options. Moyes needs to find the right ones. That's what he's paid the big bucks for -- not complaining about a lack of finances and being a "poor David Moyes at little old Everton" media darling.

I'd like something like this.

Neville, Saha, Cahill & Staqualirsi never to be anywhere near the starting line up unless there's no other option.

Never, ever to play Neville and Heitinga in midfield.

Let Barkley start playing.

When Coleman is fit put him at right back instead of Hibbert.

Our manager start talking up his team instead of the negative, dour, defeatist stuff that comes out with in the media.

Remember how to play nice football.

And assorted other things.

Careful Chico, with 20 20 hindsight like that you'll intitiate talks of a GOT Clique around here.

Nice ideas though, not sure about Coleman over Hibbert, he's been going alright.

Yeh I actually forgot about Coleman. Think he would even suit the 3 behind the striker RFUS was saying, always looknig to run into the box instead of relying a ball into it from him.

Yeh I think most want that but its relative, considering the alternatives...

I love Cahill so much so its hard to admit he's done, but every game I get a bit closer the ripping up all his pictures and 'starting again'

Only Moyes knows what's going on with him and Barkley.

God I had forgotten about Coleman. I think that using the 3 behind the striker like RFUS said then Coleman could play well their, running into the box and not responsible for crossing etc

Moyes enjoys being a 'refreshingly honest' Scot and sometimes confuses this with citing Radiohead as his conversational inspiration.

To play nice football we need creativity to feed through our direct attacking players like Coleman, Donovan, Gueye (hopefully), Cahill (hopefully) and... Straq?
